About

Thank you for stopping by!

My name is Fatma Ahmadein, I'm an Egyptian/American based in Cairo, Egypt. I teach FS1 (preschoolers), and this is my 7th year teaching.
I've never had a bigger passion, and I truly enjoy what I'm doing. This is why I decided to spread the positive vibes through starting this blog.
I've been following many, many Educational blogs from different parts of the world, and a lot of teachers out there inspired me to start this.

The name of this blog "The Playful Classroom" is inspired from the "Learning through Play" approach. Many educators and teachers of early learners across the world follow this approach.

Why is it important?
Play through exploration and expression is essential for children to develop mentally, socially, emotionally, and cognitively.
And there are many types of play in the children's world: creative play, imaginative play, sensory play, role play...and many more.

In my classroom, I try to integrate all aspects of learning into play, in order to construct an environment for the children that they can enjoy and relate to.

On this blog, I will upload all my resources previously made (and still in the making) for parents and teachers to download and use with their children (you will find them under the resources tab), in order to support the approach and the slogan of this initiative.
You will also find articles on different matters regarding children development, with demonstrating pictures, under the tab of "The classroom".

Please feel free to contact me anytime for any questions, concerns, or comments!

Cheers to lots of playing ahead...
