I just love play dough mats! They keep the children busy for long enough that you won't believe the combination of skills tackled in this activity.
These mats require play dough...so we're talking fine motor skills to start with.
They build around the letter sound, so the activity also addresses writing direction and correct letter formation.
Another part of the activity is where they find the target letter in the box and they place a piece of play dough on the sound, so this activity also addresses letter recognition and distinguishing it from other letters.
They're all in black and white (in saving mats *wink*). I colored the pictures to make them more attractive. Make sure you laminate these goodies before starting to use them.
